About Me

Born in Lima, Peru, I moved to California at the age of nineteen, carrying with me the memories, colors, and spirit of my homeland. Distance deepened my connection to Peru, and painting became a way to preserve identity, memory, and belonging.
My work is inspired by the women and children of the Peruvian Andes — figures who embody resilience, dignity, and quiet strength. Rather than portraying literal scenes, I create personal interpretations shaped by memory and imagination, honoring the cultural traditions and communal spirit that continue to inspire me.
Central to my practice is the exploration of form, expressive color, and emotion. I simplify and reinterpret shapes, allowing color and movement to guide the composition and evoke feeling beyond realism. Through this process, my paintings enter a dreamlike space where cultural memory and emotional experience merge.
Each piece becomes a tribute to the enduring spirit of Andean women while reflecting universal themes of strength, tenderness, and human connection. Through my work, I invite viewers to experience not only the vibrancy of Andean culture, but also shared stories of identity, memory, and belonging.
Artistic Journey
As a fine artist, I create vibrant paintings that celebrate the rich culture of Peruvian Andean women.
